Long time no see! I've been off living the decadent lifestyle....grand format if you will.

Last night I went to see Smoosh, MxPx, and PUSA with Ross, Jim & Amy. It was great fun! My first all ages show at The Showbox that was actually enjoyable and hassle free! I was escorted to the area where I could see, there was no usual clog of people on the ramp who either pretend not to notice me poking them in the back of the legs, or they all have had epidurals. The concert was a benefit (for tsunami medical relief) so I'm really glad it was enjoyable. Either way I would have felt good about the donation, but this way everyone made out well. I'd never heard MxPx before, they were really good! Ross thought that they were a little teen anthem-y, but I didn't mind. I like it when I can hear the words and sing along.

Tonight if I'm not too tired, R & I are going to see Iron Composer!! Tonight's competitors are Chris Ballew (from PUSA) and Rachel Flotard of Visqueen. Should be good fun!

And finally, this weekend I'm headed down to Eugene for a very fun weekend! I feel a little guilty about leaving, because we have a sick kitty here at home, but I think Ross can handle her. The worst part is the cone....yeah, she has an Elizabethan collar she has to wear (she has a skin infection). She looks at me with such a pissed-off/pathetic look...plus she bounces off the walls because she still hasn't figured out how big her "head" is.

Lately all I want to listen to is Tegan and Sara. Does anyone have any recommendations for something else to listen to? I'm one of those people who get hooked on something and then play it to death, but somehow they haven't reached that status with me.

Oh!!! I can't believe I haven't spread the Good Word before. Have you heard about the Good Word? Hershey's really stepped up with this one, we're not going to take 2, not 3, not 4, but 5!!!
I'm really disappointed in their webpage, they need something much, much more creative to reflect the wonderfulness of the Good Word. I'm willing to be their spokesmodel if necessary.

That kills me. Mike G. used to love MXPX. They have an anthem song, "Excuse me but you don't know me. And I sure don't know you neither." It was very lame but I loved it.
Kathy H. here in Portland has all of their CD's because they are from Bremerton and so is she in a way.

What about "Move to Bremerton". Is that her favorite?
